Update: Kakashi (S) Jutsu Immitation does no longer copy skills that require a different move to be performed first.
The new update is finally here! We have been working very hard on this update over the past weeks, and we are very pleased with the results.
Like we mentioned before, this update has three goals:
- Reduce the amount of bugs and glitches.
- Clearer explanation of skills and effects.
- Create more options for skills.
The new update required us to re-code many of the current skills. Due to changes in the engine, some skills have received small modifications. These are only small modifications though; most skills have stayed the same. A list of all the changes can be found here.
This also means that there might be a few small bugs in some skills. Though we are confident this update will deliver a more stable gameplay experience, small input mistakes are easily made. Therefore we will be keeping a very close eye on the Bugs and Glitches section in the forums for the upcoming days. With your help we will repair them as soon as possible. If you encounter a bug in the game, report it here.
In light of making the game easier to understand, the skill classes system has also received a slight rework. The classes "ninjutsu", "taijutsu" and "genjutsu" have been removed from the game. In practice you will notice this change hardly affects the game at all, which is also the main reason for removing them. The "unique" class will stay in the game. The classes "Static", "Interrupt" and "Cancel" have been re-named to "Instant", "Action" and "Control". We feel this better reflects the true workings of each class. In addition, "Action" skills can now only be countered on the first turn. When this happens, the entire skill will be countered. Check the game manual for full details on the classes system.
The way invisible moves are displayed has also been slightly modified. Skills such as Zaku’s Wall of Air and Counter Punch will now inform the opposing party that they have been used the moment they end. This means that these skills will still be invisible while they are active, but when their effect ends the other team will be informed that Wall of Air has been used in the previous turn. This way no skill will be truly invisible. Check the game manual for more details on invisible skills.
Action skills have also received a significant change. If the description says the whole skill is interruptible, it really means the whole skill. This includes the defense in a skill like "Drunken Fist Style". If Lee is stunned, the defense will not work either. Not all Action skills have been changed though, the details can be found in their descriptions.

On one hand we want to make the classes easier. On the other hand we want to follow the anime. The class called 'unique' is currently only used for Kakashi's copy and reflect moves. The question is if we need to remove this class or not.
Note that kakashi will be able to copy all moves (or a selection based on the other classes), instead of the skills that are not unique (which is a class just based on the anime). This is NOT a matter of balance. We can always change the skill by letting it only work to ninjutsu and taijutsu skills for example.

Hi all!
It's amazing to see over 6000 members online on this saturday. This really is a the best way to stay motivated for the staff, to continue create more characters and updates.
Over the past weeks we have been working on an update. This update has three goals. The reducement of bugs, making the game more clear to the players and add more possibilities for new skills.
The update has for example some improvement to Kakashi's Jutsu Immitation. Images, and skill descriptions will now change when you copy a skill. Although most characters will not change, some core things of the game will be changed slightly.
All characters are being re-checked for bugs, false descriptions and classes are slightly reworked. There will also be a new standard of how descriptions and durations of effects are brought towards the players.
As soon as the update is there we will reset the bugs and glitches section on the forums, and closely monitor that for the upcoming time.
We expect to release this update somewhere during the next week, hopefully tuesday. Just before the release, the site will be down for a few hours. For now have a nice gaming night!

The next batch of characters from Shippuuden are here! Say hello to Yamato, Four Tails, and Orochimaru (S). All three require you to finish their respective missions to be used.
Yamato (S) is a member of ANBU whose real name is unknown. Given the code name Yamato by Tsunade for this mission, he is tasked to lead Team 7 while Kakashi recovers.
Orochimaru returns, strong as ever and with some new tricks up his sleeve. But his body seems to be on borrowed time.
Naruto, after giving into his rage and manifesting a fourth tail ceases to be himself. In this state Naruto becomes a mindless being of rage and destruction but the price is his own life.

12/07/08 Server glitch found & fixed
It appeared that lately there were some server issues where stats wouldn't update. The cause of this bug was found and i'm happy to say its fixed. The servers will probably run smoother and the so called "undefined"-stats bug should be gone. GL, gametester.

Basically this is a scale back of power-creep on some characters. There are significantly more characters in the 49-47% range of wins than the 52-55% range. As such, minor nerfs to these higher characters is much more in order than minor boosts to a field of characters over twice as large.
Characters with 52% or higher win rates that were nerfed:
Nidaime, Jiraiya, Yoroi, Gai, Itachi Body Double, Kurenai, Kakashi, Zabuza, Tsunade, Shigure, Kiba, Shizune.
